How these were made
Claude drew the trailer's outline from the numbers in design/trailer.js (18 ft × 8 ft box, angled front, door and window positions, roof air conditioner, one axle, tongue with two tanks), then an image model on Nathan's computer painted a photo over that outline. The shape and the layout are the design. The small details are the model's guess: the tanks, the fender, the trim, the exact window frames and the scenery are not drawings of real parts.
What the pictures get wrong
- The propane tanks on the tongue often come out as tires or boxes. The design has two upright 20 lb cylinders in a tray.
- The roof air conditioner is drawn as a plain box. A Coleman Mach 3 is a rounded white shroud about 40 × 28 × 13 in.
- Window sizes and frames vary from picture to picture. The design sizes are on Elevations.
- No picture shows the clearance lights along the roof edge, which the 8 ft width requires.
